This is the first of a series of illustrations I put together for a show at Strut, a community health space and gallery in the Castro, of hot Daddies. Sonia Harris is the designer who turned my illustration into a truly lovely piece.
I drew this in my sketchbook while traveling in Laos and included it in one of my True Travel Tales zines. I was fascinated by the river boats plying the Mekong.
This is the art for the cover of The Continuing Adventures of Etta Bonbon and Trevor Stevens, which is a comic-within-a-comic embedded in my graphic novel-in-progress Castle and Creek. Within the world of my novel, it’s a parody comic of the Golden Age (1940s) Wonder Woman done by a lesbian underground comix creator in the 1970s, which the protagonists of my book are trying to find. We see the comic itself as inserts into the book between other chapters. Sound confusing? Don’t worry, it’s gonna be fabulous ;)
This was unused art I created for the cover of the Hard to Swallow Comics collected edition on which Dave Davenport and I collaborated.
This is another illustration I did for my Dadville illustration series. I love playing with Americana imagery like jackalopes.
This is a splash page from the main story line of my graphic novel-in-progress Castle and Creek, in which one of the protagonists shows up to help out a porn audition.
